Hi-Lights No 015
For PLASA Focus 2012, Hi-Lights bring you No 015, a limited edition ale produced by the Allendale Brewery in Hexham.
With a production run of only 300 bottles No 015 is named after Deep Straw, the colour of LEE Filters which most closely resembles the pale, golden colour of the ale. The inspiration for using a Lee Filters shade was suggested by one of Hi-Lights twitter followers during an appeal for suggestions of a suitable name.
The ale is a Hi-Lights branded bottle of the award winning Golden Plover produced by the Allendale Brewery, a local microbrewery who started brewing in 2006. In 2010, Golden Plover won Gold in the best bitter category of the SIBA North Regional Competition. Made using only Maris Otter pale malt to give a light and refreshing clean taste, No 015 has a moderate bitterness and an enticing aroma making it the perfect introduction to real ale.
Scott Rowland, general manager of Hi-Lights, said "We're really excited about having our own beer for the first time. There has been great interest from both customers and colleagues who are all looking forward to sampling a bottle!"
For the opportunity to get your own bottle of No 015 , visit the Hi-Lights stand at PLASA Focus 2012 held at Royal Armouries, Leeds on 17-18 April.
