Evolution Festival 2009 Launch
The Brief
To provide technical support for the press launch of this year's festival. The events would be presented to two audiences; local and national press followed by sponsors and supporters.
The Evolution Festival is one of the North East's biggest music events which, this year, will see a host of top acts perform during the last May Bank Holiday weekend to an expected crowd of over 60,000 people across two days in NewcastleGateshead.
The Solution
The estimated audience size was 30 people in each presentation, therefore due to volume required and space available, two powered Ecler speakers were provided as part of a PA system using wireless Sennheiser microphones for both speeches and vocalists from The Chapman Family.
A PowerPoint presentation was required so laptops and a 32" LCD TV screen were provided along with a wireless cue system for the speakers to advance the slides themselves.
There was great media interest and the headline bands and supporting acts were announced. The performers include headliners Dizzee Rascal and The Wombats with Mystery Jets, The View, The Maccabees, White Lies, Friendly Fires, and many, many more. For a full list, see the press release.
The launch was a great success following on from news that hundreds of tickets have already been sold for the festival.
